National Seminar on “Swami Dayanand Saraswati: Unparalleled Contribution Towards Indian Culture and Heritage on 28th March 2026

The Department of History of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar organized a National Seminar on the theme “Swami Dayanand Saraswati: Unparalleled Contribution Towards Indian Culture and Heritage.” The seminar was sponsored by the Indian Council of Historical Research (ICHR), New Delhi, and aimed to highlight the immense contribution of Swami Dayanand Saraswati towards the preservation and promotion of Indian culture and heritage. The seminar commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the dispelling of ignorance and the spread of knowledge.

 

International Webinar on Hari Singh Nalwa’s Leadership on 11th April, 2026

The Department of History of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar successfully organized an International Webinar on the topic “Leadership and Warfare of Hari Singh Nalwa: An AI Perspective.”  Mrs. Kawajit Kaur welcomed the resource person. Dr. Gurinderpal Singh Joshan, who is the Founder President of Sikhs in America and Chairman of the Saragarhi Foundation. In his insightful address, he highlighted how the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into historical studies has opened new avenues for understanding and evaluating the leadership qualities of great personalities.
